Job interview

The first part, theory, begins with job analysis. Then searching for applicants and selection of the employees follows. The key topic of the study is focused on the most frequent method of the employee selection - job interview. The advantages of this method are the possibility to assess the applicant's personality more thoroughly and also to check and supplement the information gained by other selection methods. On the other hand some of the disadvantages are the tendency to subjective assessment and the fact that the interview is comparatively time-consuming. In any case the job interview should be also done according to the ethic principles. There are a lot of types of the interview. Interviews differ for example by structure, by the number of applicants or by the formulation and purpose of the questions used during the interview. Each interview consists of the three following parts: preparation, course and evaluation. The practice reveals that the selection process is influenced not only by the setting of the personnel processes but also by the personal approach and expertise of the evaluators. Tender for the academic staff at the university

The bachelor thesis deals with the description of the selection process for an academic at the university. In the theoretical part, the reader will familiarize with the personnel activities in the organization, including the recruitment of job seekers, pre-selection and selection of workers. This part of the thesis describes the methods of employee selection and the stage of the personnel selection process. The work also defines a college (university) and specifies an academic worker - a college worker. The research part of the thesis focuses on a detailed assessment of the selection process for university graduates. The research was carried out on a sample of public universities in the Czech Republic. Interviews were held with the staff responsible for the selection process at universities (Personnel Department staff). Further knowledge on this issue was gained through direct participation in the selection process for academic staff taking place at some universities. Part of the thesis is an analysis of documents related to the selection process, among which are the CVs of applicants for work, mentioning the applicant's current practice, together with copies of the documents on completed education, applications for tenders, a summary of the publication activity and the rules of the selection...

Analysis of staff recruitment and selection in JF Dřevovýroba, Chrudim

Master's thesis is doing research in the theoretical part in staff recruitment, factors of recruitment, sources and methods of recruitment, pre-selection and methods of staff selection, adaptation of new staff. The practical part includes analyses of these personal activities used in JF Dřevovýroba company by using methods of questionnaire research, at first. Further information is detected considering structured interviews with managers, other staff of this company, and internal documents. The goal of this thesis is to compare personal activities used in practice with findings of HR specialists. In case of finding some deficiencies in personal activities listed above, I propose their solution to improve these processes
